EPSRC - Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Regenerative Medicine

European partnering

The EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Regenerative Medicine is building a UK regenerative medicine manufacturing national community (a nationwide cluster of regional specialisations) among academic, industrial and clinical organisations, and therefore has access to relevant academics at most UK universities. The EPSRC Centre is extending its partnering beyond the UK, and into Europe, and seeks to join both existing and developing regenerative medicine networks in order to bring its unique capabilities to the development of new collaborative research, translation and training initiatives.

The EPSRC Centre acts as a ‘national centre’ in bringing together academics, clinicians and commercial organisations to create a nationwide cluster aimed at advancing the UK’s developing regenerative medicine manufacturing industry. The EPSRC Centre provides a natural point of contact into the UK for European organisations.

The EPSRC Centre’s goals for European engagement

  • Contribute to existing and developing networks in Europe
  • Increase UK awareness of activities in regenerative medicine manufacturing in Europe
  • Identify opportunities for new research, translation and training projects with European partners
  • Raise European profile of the EPSRC Centre and the UK’s regenerative medicine manufacturing community

As Europe’s new Horizon 2020 programme launches, we welcome approaches from European partners also wishing to develop new regenerative medicine networks and seeking to develop new collaborative research, translation and training initiatives.

The EPSRC Centre has joined the NanoMedicine European Technology Platform and interacts with a number of regenerative medicine networks across Europe, including the EATRIS translational medicine infrastructure.
